Each one of the boxes that originally contained these bears, had a little story written. I have tried my best to find an accurate translation below:

Hello.
Everyone in Sylvanian Village, how are you? This year I was able to harvest a lot of vegetables in my field.
Potatoes are especially good. When I tried frying them in sunflower oil, I was able to make potato chips that looked like the warm sunshine.
Please enjoy them with everyone.

*These beautiful bears were an exclusive family done in collaboration with the Calbee potato chips brand in Japan in 2004 and have never seen a re-release. The family was split up into three branded boxes, each containing a packet of Calbee chips with the father's image printed on it along with the figures. The mother and twins came together in a set marked A, father and sister as a second set marked B and the brother with his little garden set as the third and final set marked C, together making up this family. 

Like most older Japanese figures, they have no official names, so I have decided to give them unofficial names of my own.
