*The Lavender rabbit family is one of the Japanese regional exclusive rabbit families and was available for sale from only a few stores in Hokkaido, the largest and most Northern prefecture in Japan. The Hokkaido lavender fields are one of the most popular tourist spots to visit in the area and these beautiful rabbits really do the fields that they represent justice!
In 2009, this family was created as a collaboration between Toys Yoshida and Epoch to commemorate their 50 years of doing business together and was the first regional family to be released in Japan.

In 2014, a newer version of the Lavender rabbit family started appearing and now the beautiful purple ear tips were a much darker (more lavender) purple. Some of the dress fabrics also differed slightly. I am very fortunate to have both versions in my collection.
Yoshida Toys gave this family their names, and although they are not on the box, they can be found in the displays in the Yoshida Toy Store. However, the newer version of the Lavender rabbits now have birthdays and small biographies on the box!

This "first version" of the Lavender family is one of the most special items to me personally in my entire collection, as they will always hold a very special, happy memory for me. For those that know why, if you ever stumble across this page - thank you for the good times!

These images are a close-up comparison of the two versions of the Lavender rabbits next to each other to see the differences in the shade of purple on the ears and the colour of their white flocking. The newer version also has the "Bewildered" bug eyes that so many of the new figures seem to have since the changes in 2014.
